Vegan family member had allergies tested and, as it turns out, is highly allergic to wheat and soy. So we are now cooking even more interesting meals! Sure it’s a bit of an adjustment but it’s not too bad. Isn’t it funny how sometimes constraints make you more creative?
How many of us were taken to pick apples as kids? Or strawberries? Now how about the slaughterhouse? Who was shown where those chicken nuggets come from? Who heard the cries of separated calves, fellow babes, as they called out for their mothers?

We owe to other sentient beings not to use them exclusively as means to our ends. When we use them as commodities, we treat them unfairly. We bully them. Please stop. Please go #vegan. It's not a matter of lifestyle; it's not a matter of your "journey." It is a matter of justice.

I am puzzled by nonvegans who get angry about those who shoot lions, giraffes, etc. What's the problem? Are chickens, pigs, cows, fish, etc. not "exotic" enough? It must be hard to go through life that confused. If animals matter morally, #veganism is the only rational choice.

You don’t have to love animals to recognize that it is immoral and unjust to exploit them. But if you *do* love animals, and you continue to participate in their exploitation, you need to rethink your idea of what love means. Please go #vegan.

I have been working in the fields of animal ethics and animal law for 40 years. I have *never* encountered an argument to justify animal use that isn't loaded with anthropocentric assumptions. If animals matter morally-if they are not things-#veganism is the only rational choice.

I hate plastic straws but ocean plastic coming from straws is 0.03% of all plastic in the ocean. Want to cut down on plastic in the ocean? Biggest contributor is fishing nets. STOP EATING FISH. #GoVegan #Vegan

I am distressed reading this news when I contrast it with people who absolutely refuse to stop eating animals. How can you be so shocked at the ignorant stubbornness of climate change deniers when you yourself will not stop eating animals or see the connection? twitter.com/ClimateBen/sta…
What completely bewilders me is why, if you could live without directly harming other sentient beings, you would not choose to do that. We are not talking about high moral theory; it's a matter of simple decency. Please go #vegan.

I wish I could go vegan but someone else, over there, is poor, and can't, so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Despite large animal welfare groups blathering on endlessly abt how difficult it is to be a vegan, that’s simply wrong. Going vegan is easy, better for your health, the planet, and most important, for your spirit because it’s the morally right thing to do. abolitionistapproach.com/effective-anim…

It’s liberating and a little embarrassing to realize your multi-decade “deeply held core beliefs” are nothing more than misinformation, propaganda, and outright lies from the animal ag industry.
It was eye opening when going vegan to realize how much utter nonsense I believed (and regurgitated) to justify eating meat. Logical fallacy after fallacy. “Cows need to be milked [by humans] or it hurts.” “You need meat to survive.” etc. 1/2
@YourDailyVegan It’s funny how easily someone would shrug off a kid’s living off of chicken nuggets and cheese string as “picky eating that’s OK as long as they get something into their stomachs” but would lose their mind finding out that same kid was being raised to be vegan.

Why are non vegans so desperate to debate vegans on here? Like we get it, you support animal abuse, please stop telling me about how you like to specifically abuse them.

@denise_dewald @nytimes What's fascinating to me about "NYT Wordle is harder" is that it's the same list. I have the JavaScript files for both OG & NYT. All NYT has done is remove some words (questionable, offensive, too similar to other words). But it's otherwise the exact same list.

Vegans really think calling us “constipated” is some kind of dunk. lol Being constipated is the natural way your body is supposed to be. Don’t Google it though.

Sentience is the only characteristic required to have the right not to be property. Many ‘animal people’ argue that great apes/elephants/marine mammals have greater moral value because they are more ‘like us.’ That's just anthropocentric nonsense.

As we all know, our ancestors only ate meat and organs, and vegetables weren’t invented until the 1950’s when the government was trying to get people to eat anti-nutrients.

For all my Austin peoples:
Is beating an innocent human 5x a week "better" than doing so 10X a week? Yes, but we would never advocate the former as good. Same with animals. Please stop promoting all that "happy exploitation" nonsense. If animals matter morally, veganism is the only rational choice. #vegan

One of my favorite meals is steamed rice + red kidney beans + some kind of flavoring. For about 20 years it's been a can of Rotel. I think I'm ready to change up the flavoring. Suggestions?
In every glass of milk there is the suffering of a cow who has been violently impregnated. There is the profound sadness and distress of a mother whose baby has been taken from her and of a baby separated from the mother. Please stop participating in this injustice. Go #vegan

The absurdity of putting VR goggles on cows to increase their milk production (until they are unprofitable and subsequently slaughtered) is… just… predictably dystopian? Maddening? So very circling and yet missing the point? I’m so glad dairy is on the way out.
This book describes a revolution of the heart that starts w our own veganism, a basic fundamental, non-negotiable commitment to justice and fairness for nonhuman animals. We have no moral justification for using animals–however “humanely”–for our purposes: abolitionistapproachbook.com
