#TBT Camp Ozone work crew, undated. Camp Ozone was home to two CCC companies. Company 3742 was assembled at Oark in July 1935. It was moved to Camp Ozone in April 1939, where it was located until 1942. Ozone is now a small campground and the site of the historic Ozone CCC Camp.

Great news! Blanchard Springs Campground has reopened effective today, Thursday, May 26, 2022. The creek has finally receded enough and just in time for the Memorial Day weekend. Remember that the campground does close when heavy rain is predicted. Enjoy the weekend.

The truth is out there. And the truth is....lenticular clouds! Lenticular clouds are strange looking cloud formations that form as strong winds blow over rough terrain, like Mt. Shasta, @ShastaTrinityNF, California. They are sometimes called "flying saucer" clouds.

#ArborDay #DYK that we plant trees? Over the past 5 years, 2,093,300 seedlings planted on 3,456 acres so far on the @ozarkstfrancis. We planted both pine and hardwood trees after activities such as timber harvest and weather events, wildfires, or insect and disease outbreaks.
