Heavy weapons have been hidden between houses so Ukrainian forces can't return fire without the possibility of harming citizens.
We stand in solidarity with our team member, and with Ukraine, and hope that our users remember that in a global world, we are all connected.
In his city, Russian troops have raided shops for food and electronics. They shoot at civilian houses and even whole towns with ballistic rockets to scare and demoralize the citizenry. They have bombed civilian infrastructure.
Another lives in an occupied city, and continues to check in with us daily as conditions around him deteriorate. As a team, we asked how we could support him, and his request was poignant— “tell the world what is happening here.”
The apps we build and support have a global audience, and the talented people who build and support these apps are just as global. Three members of our team are Ukrainians. Two have been displaced to new cities as their towns lie in ruins.
