As #BCWildfire Service’s top priorities are human life and safety, response personnel have been deployed to safe zones identified in the suppression plan. There are currently 16 personnel on site, alongside heavy equipment and a helicopter.

The #BCWildfire Service is aware of rumours circulating regarding the potential evacuation of #100MileHouse. 100 Mile House remains on alert and there are no recommendations from the BC Wildfire Service at this time to change the current alert status.

Due to Extreme Fire Danger Rating in effect July 5, activities such as grading operations ALSO deemed High Risk per the BC Wildfire Regulation. Crews are monitoring conditions and will resume maintenance when the risk of fire has fallen. Thank you for your patience. @TranBC

With pandemic restrictions easing, we're able to relaunch the Adopt A Highway program, a great way for volunteers to unite to keep BC roads clear of trash and invasive weeds. More than 80 groups and 900 people adopted 150 km of road in 2019. More: bit.ly/3isN1VQ
