It was an honor to tour the new @ConstructHope site this week with @CommRubio. The program received a PCEF grant to support pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs in green building trades, and the expanded facility will jumpstart careers for underserved Portlanders.
The Old Town neighborhood has been disproportionately affected by the crises impacting Portland today. We've made a lot of progress - but there's still more work to be done. Thanks to Jessie Burke and to the Old Town Community Association for leading this effort.
While gun violence is a nationwide epidemic, the impacts are happening right here in Portland. We must continue to raise our voices together and demand common-sense gun control.
