I logged in here yesterday & the first tweet that flashed up on my TL was a Russian woman apparently giving permission for her partner to rape Ukrainian women. So unsettling. I’m staying away but just wanted to say I’m over at Insta & currently selling a pair of Jimmy Choos
I’m a fairly educated and astute person but I’m still googling a pound sign to copy and paste when I’m using my Mac to write sums of money.
Mummy eventually opened her birthday present and now mummy and baby have matching toys but baby is intent on battering hers out of the way and seeing what the real one is all about.
Trying not to make this all about me but went to bed last night pretty upset & anxious. Realised it was the stream of graphic images & descriptions my TL had been bombarded with over the wkend. If you’re also feeling this way, take a break & find your joy wherever you can.
I’ve been obsessed with cherry blossom trees since I was a wee girl. I got my very own one planted in our new garden this week. I’m so excited to see it grow and bloom every year. 🌸
I’m so pleased that my daughter loves food and eats and enjoys a wide variety but the minute I put her in the high chair now she starts banging her fists and screaming at me to move faster. I’m exhausted.
If you’re not doing anything tonight - maybe come and join us for this screening? More info in the link. ⬇️ #PsychologistsForSocialChangeScotland twitter.com/PSC_Scotland/s…

Out in the garden of our new house yesterday for the first time and we saw a guy flying past on a pair of these and quite frankly, I want in.
Baby is bang in the middle of the “oh these hands are part of me and I can make them do things” development stage and I could quite literally watch her all day! 🥰
Our second event of 2022 has been announced. Would love to see you there! ⬇️ twitter.com/PSC_Scotland/s…
Kinship Care Week celebrates the role of kinship families across Scotland. It is so important that we recognise and understand the valuable role kinship carers play in families by providing safe and loving care that enables children to grow and thrive. #KinshipWeekScot

that we are still not doing enough to support these transitions and perhaps still not acknowledging the severity of them. I’m not dismissing good practice that is happening but it’s still not enough.
Packing up our house for our move & it’s got me reflecting on what a huge transition this is for children in care. (Actually all children!) Bringing up a lot of feelings for me as a child in care who experienced such uprooting under traumatic circumstances. I know through my work

third sector, where we are so desperately trying to diversify our boards. I wonder how much unique talent/skill we are missing out on because people won’t commit because of childcare? I don’t see much way around it and I guess maybe that’s just the way it is.
different times - they don’t work. It has to be evening. I’ve done some with baby on my knee, camera off with earphones in while I bathe her, nursery rhymes on etc - mainly ends in me getting stressed that I’m not giving her or meeting full attention. This is a problem for

One hand was gripping my arm & the other kept tapping me when she wanted another drink. It was such a special moment. All these wee moments I’ve always wondered about because I didn’t get to have them with my own mum. Didn’t know what they would feel like. Now I do. ❤️
Soppy Post 🚨 Baby was sitting on my lap having a cuddle & I had a drink from my water bottle. She was watching me intently. I let her have some too & she was so chuffed with herself! So happy! Looking at me, smiling as if I’d given her the world. Getting to be like her mum!
