Week on week, these 'schools' will be hosted to ensure that farmers get access to scientific research, practices and knowledge to improve their yields. This weekend, the lamp of knowledge has been ignited. This lamp will go on to illuminate the path towards economic prosperity.
Thousands more joined via their phones. Experts from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, as well as Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, interacted with the farmers, answered many questions and shared crucial SOPs for soyabean and cotton cultivation.
Like a community movie night, many villages set up a projector, screen and sound system, and screened the sheti shala live for the benefit of soyabean and cotton farming groups. Rallies were hosted to encourage more farmers to join, and rangolis welcomed the participants.
In thousands, villagers participated in the first ever Digital Sheti Shalas for Soyabean and Cotton respectively, which Paani Foundation had organised as part of the Farmer Cup.
