I wanted to ask him to lunch at Chipotle but then I wimped out. He did call me the next day to ask if I travelled back well and how he enjoyed hanging out. I’m taking notes.
I met a globally recognizable unquestionably absolutely famous person this week, hung out with them for hours and they were positively lovely. Kind and humble and generally super cool. Sometimes it is nice to meet your heroes and they are just regular people from Jersey.
Pineapple on pizza is one of my most favorite things.
Looking C#/.NET/C++ devs, working on Microsoft desktop stack Mostly back-end, CPU-intensive code. Three positions open (three different levels.) This is in Orange County CA, but maybe flexible on location for right candidate. DM me for questions.

Yes, they exist, but so what? For every one Beyoncé there's 8,000,000,000 NOT-Beyoncés.
@icycodes Seriously though, it's a mythical person that is 10x more productive than you and I. Genius level at everything. The Simone Biles of Code. There are a few, but it's an unrealistic goal and can be used to gatekeep when hiring normal humans.

Coming this fall on Netflix -> "Kidney Punch" If you donate a kidney, everybody loves you and you’re a total hero. But try donating five kidneys and suddenly everyone is yelling and the police get involved.
When I was little I looked at the space race and dreamed the world would rally around a huge science project again. 10+ gigaton scale negative emissions is that! It’s urgent, necessary, hard, dramatic, all of it. It’s the defining project of our generation.

This is an important thing to do when you’re in a position of privilege or seniority. In normalizes the fact that people make mistakes and makes space for others to safely admit the same. twitter.com/TR_Smith/statu…

REALLY enjoying @Foundation_ on @AppleTV. Young actor @loullobell is a revelation, a quiet storm AND a math nerd! @leepace chews up every scene. Utterly compelling sci-fi. Give me extended cuts so I can stay here longer!

Damnit. The world deserves a post-apocalyptic Kevin Costner movie where he singlehandedly keeps the blockchain alive in a non-electrical society.

The tinfoil hats are out in full force. As someone who has been working actively in tech for 30 years I’ll offer that it’s much more likely that it’s a line in a text file typed by a well-meaning ops person rather than a global conspiracy by The Pentaverate to hide Zuck’s evil.
