Started my 38th year of life my favorite way: climbing a mountain. I hope to be able to do this as long as I live! How am I 38?! still feel like I’m 22, but am a lot wiser. Grateful for another year.

We remember that even in the darkest hours, there is cause to hope for tomorrow’s light. Let us all recommit ourselves today to honoring those who fought over generations to steer our country closer to our highest ideals.

Juneteenth is a time to commemorate the anniversary of the delayed news of freedom reaching the enslaved Black folks in Galveston, Texas. Today, we remember that struggle for freedom as we reflect on how far we’ve come as a country—and on the work that remains undone.

True story: I once saw Channing Tatum and his daughter out to dinner after a movie. If you loved him before this sighting, you loved him very more. He was very attentive and intentional. twitter.com/fatherlyhq/sta…
Happy Father’s Day to what I am assuming is the only 72 year old who wanted a Wu-Tang Clan t-shirt for his gift. Ty Jessop is one of a kind and I’m lucky he’s my dad!
Denver is such a great sports town.
Hockey: If you can’t beat them, beat them (literally).
It’s going to be a long flight back to Tampa for the Lightning…

My jaw is dropping from the effects of drought and climate change. I’ve lived in this neighborhood my whole life and there’s never been a shore on this lake. Shocking.

Now an MVP. As if there was any question at this point, Steph Curry has clearly cemented his future Hall of Fame status.

If the NCAA wants a legal strategy around regulating NIL that doesn’t haul them into court on antitrust grounds, recognizing the employee status of revenue producing college sport athletes is it. Doing so allows for collective bargaining and use of non-statutory labor exemption.
This is the next major legal battle in college sports. Schools and conferences (especially in the Power 5) need to decide if they want to shell out hundreds of millions in legal fees or recognize employee status (which is likely less expensive, altogether). twitter.com/NicoleAuerbach…
I want to hear from the people who took their salaries in Bitcoin.

Today my dad and I had a good talk about my tendency throughout life to never be satisfied and always focused on the next step. He asked if I ever sit down and think how far I’ve come. I don’t. So tonight I’m celebrating that a kid from where I came from made this her home.
The economy is scary right now. One of the best things you can do in a time like this is invest in yourself. Find a skill or knowledge base to go all in on developing. Research how to turn it into a side hustle or business. You'll never lose by investing in yourself.
If you aren't seriously concerned about the continuation of American democracy, you need to wake up. One of the best, nonpartisan books you can read on the matter is @RayDalio's "The Changing World Order." We could be in the twilight of the American experiment.
I thought it on January 6, 2021 and I believe it even more today: I don't know how anyone could have watched what happened at our nation's capitol on January 6 and not believe it was an attempted coup.
