People who don’t get anything done are uniquely positioned to criticise anyone who gets anything done.
"When I asked many of the researchers how they’d tackle obesity, given the uncertainties, they pointed to policies that would alter or regulate our environment, like outlawing junk food marketing to kids, banning school vending machines and making neighborhoods more walkable."
When a select group of world's top researchers on obesity get together. A report by @juliaoftoronto "No scientist spoke of any of the supposed fixes.... about cleanses, diet apps‌‌ or intermittent fasting."…
If you want to look good, bring your humanity, kindness and compassion to the table because even a mannequin can bring her thinness.
This isn’t a meme, this isn’t what children did when they didn’t have internet. This is what children do when they have opportunity. Connect them to the farm, set them free. #sonavecommunityfarmingproject #sonave #farming #palghar #riceisnice
Yoga is freedom from all extremes, from dabbawing to detoxing, and brings a sense of balance in the way you think, eat and live. #yoga #dailypractice
- small - round - inflated Are good properties to have. Here’s proof. Or the proof is in the bhakri. And keeping it sweet company is the ghee, chawli bhaji and usal. Simple & exotic.Warm & happy. Light & fulfilling. Indian dinners are like life, worth living and relishing.
As "diabetes capital" we need policies that will- -lift everyone out of hunger & poverty -curb pollution -make cities walking/ cycling friendly Instead what we get are ads that tell us- -there's fibre in biscuits -protein in powders -sugarfree halwa can be eaten without guilt
The longer i live, the more i realise how women’s labour is invisible and how that builds the narrative that housewives really do nothing with their life.
The unique two month program is a workshop and follow up format. It’s entirely led and conducted by my team over 4 weekends every year. We started in 2011 & struggled to find people. Now we have to cap the seats at 25 and have gone entirely online post pandemic.
Our kids are getting fatter by the day, most of them eat junk food on their way back from school. Will-power & parental intervention is not enough, it requires a solid policy. One that protects children with a clear warning on the pack. I am writing to @fssaiindia, you can too.
Food industry knows that you can get more stars by adding some nuts or fruits or vegetable extract to junk food or simply by reformulating a bit of trans fat & sugar. This is health washing, good for profits, not for people. We still get fat & sick eating these UPFs.
The proposed system of giving stars to ultra processed food products (UPFs) or junk food is confusing for the kids. It gives junk food a health halo & makes it difficult for parents to stand up to pester power.
Chips, colas & chocolates are bad for health. And their consumers, mostly children, need to know this in plain, simple words. That’s what a health warning on the pack can achieve, protect our kids from being encashed for profit by the food industry. A thread...…
i am watching Pak vs NZ on TV and have learnt 3 things - 1. Every child must eat instant noodles to be happy 2. Every man must wear deo to attract women 3. Successful people drink alcohol but camouflage it as soda or bottled water
Subeh uthke alarm snooze karte hue, sirf movies mein log cute dikhte hai. Hum log real life mein dull, bloated and dark circle wale lagte hai.
Big Bihar and the little litti.
An evening in Patna is better than an evening in Paris, especially for fresh vegetable shopping. #Bihar #fresh #sabzi
They say work takes you places, mine has taken me to Patna.
Dealing with adult acne? 1. Manage stress better 2. Reduce late nights 3. Strength train every week 4. Include - -A small piece of dry coconut daily -Banana flower as sabzi or wadi once a week -Fresh seasonal fruits, but not as juices or smoothies
What’s required for good health is a clear distinction in our heads between home cooked food & store bought, ready to eat, ultra processed food. Eat the former and avoid the latter. If we get that basic right, we get the first step of eating right, right. Stand up to nutritionism
When traditional food gets classified as “high fat”, “high sugar” etc, diversity of cuisine shrinks, slowly but surely regional delicacies disappear and massy, glossy packaged chocolates & chips appear for all festivities. Good only for profits, not for planet, not for people.
We love being back at work. It has our heart, breath and sense of self. Back to answering calls, emails and meeting with clients. It’s been a good break only because we can get back to what we love doing with a bang. #team #work #love
It’s good to have bad sisters, If you know what i mean 😉#bhaubijj#BadSisterssC
The best detox post Diwali is getting back to normal life. Normal food, normal workouts. Too little food, too much exercise, is only swinging from one extreme to another. It will only hurt your cause and waste your time. Just get back to your normal life. #diwalidetox
7.As an example, some banned FDCs that physicians continue to prescribe and pharmacies sell are—norfoxacin+metronidazole, amoxicillin+dicloxacillin, cefxime+linezolid, and cefuroxime+linezolid. Their market share is astonishing.

In this world there are 2 kinds of experts. One who knows everything after reading a couple of pages on Google. And the other who knows how little they know even after years of extensive field work, clinical experience.
