We are grieving the victims and those in the #Indianapolis community affected by last night's horrific shooting - including our own Sikh sangat (community members). Our prayers are with the victim's families and those impacted by yet another senseless act of violence.
Eight people lost their lives and more were injured at their place of work. Hate and violence are a threat to all of us. We must support one another in our grief and we must call on our elected officials to make meaningful change.
If you have elderly parents or if you have ever wondered "what's in it for you" for having a generous heart, you don't want to miss @RichardLui 's funny and moving story about what he learned when he changed his life to care for his Alzheimer's-stricken father. #EnoughAboutMetwitter.com/aaja/status/13…

Advocate Erika Moritsugu is expected to become the new senior-level AAPI liaison, @weijia & @jackturmanIII report, a position hard won after Biden appointed a Cabinet without an AAPI secretary for the 1st time in 20 years.
Here's who she is, in her words:
In the past year, Asian American journalists have been doing their jobs amid a mounting wave of attacks on Asians across the country, up 145 percent in 2020, due to Donald Trump’s referring to COVID-19 with racists terms like the “Wuhan virus” or “kung flu”thr.cm/qX64O5e
SCOOP w/ @jackturmanIII:
Tomorrow, the WH is expected to announce Erika Moritsugu to a senior level AAPI liaison position—newly created after @SenDuckworth@maziehirono called for more representation.
@POTUS will meet w/ @CAPAC tmrw, though Moritsugu is not expected to attend.
