The Saudi government’s explanation for the death of Jamal Khashoggi is not credible. The U.S. & int’l community must condemn Mr. Khashoggi’s murder in the strongest terms. And the U.S. must conduct its own independent investigation as required under the Global Magnitsky Act.

Our Nation’s judicial system must never place partisan politics above the Rule of Law. That’s how the House Ethics Committee conducts itself and I expect the same of the USDOJ. Tweets like this undermine confidence in our judicial system. cnn.com/videos/politic…
On Labor Day let us remember and thank the great many hands who built this country, sustain our Nation’s advancement and train and defend tomorrow’s workforce.
