Hike to a lovely viewpoint on Vents Ridge, just past White Buddha climbing/bouldering area! The last few hundred metres are steep and rocky, so we recommend rock helmets if you have them. Read our story here ➡️ buff.ly/2TGLC5o@Albertaparks#ABparks

FINALLY got through- for ONE booking. Disappointed with the system. While I'm grateful I got through a whole booking (after 7.5 hours for one 2 night backcountry trip), this could've been handled a lot better with the advance notice of booking dates.
@CTVdawnwalton@CBCEyeopener Another thread on the issues with @ParksCanada reservation system. Would love to see a story on this as there are so many disappointed campers today. Not ranting, just want to see the system improved to a usable state. #parkscanada
Love #parkscanada but not their website. Was excited to get an early spot in the queue this AM but after 2-hrs of the website resetting every few minutes, I was kicked out of the site without a booking. Now back at the end of the line. @ParksCanada there must be a better way.
@ParksCanada@pronetowanders Have now waited for the 25,000 ppl in front of me to try making a booking & its my turn to try AGAIN.
Same issues as this morning, getting part way thru the booking and getting kicked out back to the Parks Canada - Western Map
@ParksCanada what is being done to correct this?
⚠️The Parks Canada Reservation Service is experiencing very high demand and some technical difficulties.
We are actively investigating the problem and working to fix the issue.
Thank you for your patience. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Waiting in the (hellishly long) queue for Parks Canada backcountry reservations (since 7:30am when I logged into the waiting room). While I wait, I'm busy getting excited for the adventures I'm going to have and reminiscing about favourite moments from last year!! #parkscanada
As camping season winds down, it’s important to check for campground dates and available services before you go. A full list of campgrounds open for fall camping is available here: AlbertaParks.ca/Fall
Whether you're in the wilderness or a developed part of the park, remember to stay on the trail in heavily-used areas. In pristine wilderness, try to disperse use to avoid creating new social trails. Brush up on Leave No Trace ethics before your next hike: nps.gov/yose/planyourv…
