Do you think that having slashing insurance (w/ a potentially high premium) in Eth2 staking pools (eg @LidoFinance) is important?
Double signing can be avoided with simple validator setups, and liveness penalties are low, so I suspect the actual insurance benefit may be marginal

Tho once the merge happens, gas prices only need to be ~11 for ETH to be deflationary (at current staked amount).

Especially for BSC hacks, harder to notice given the difficulty of running archive nodes for BSC.
