As we prepare to gather for the Ontario Police Memorial in #Toronto tomorrow, the #OPP cycling team is riding in honour of officers in #Ontario who lost their lives in the line of duty. This includes PC Marc Hovingh of Manitoulin Detachment, killed on duty in 2020. #HeroesInLife
In 2021, the #OPP's 590 Auxiliary members contributed 70,000 volunteer hours. They also helped to gather 16,000lbs of food and $42,000 in cash donations to food drives across the province. Thank you! #NationalVolunteerWeek

For Christians, Easter holiday marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For many, the week before is referred to as Holy Week. It is celebrated as a joyous holiday and the hope of salvation. Wishing our OPP and community members celebrating a happy Easter holiday.
Follow recommendations from the manufacturer. It’s safest to keep your child in a child car seat or booster seat until they reach the maximum weight and height limits of the child car seat.
In the last 10 years, there were 542 fatal collisions on #OPP-patrolled roads where lack of seatbelt use was a factor. Buckling up and having properly installed car seats for children are required by law. This long weekend, officers will be monitoring & enforcing seatbelt laws.
