Good morning to everyone looking forward to the next Suh-per Bowl 🌞
My investment philosophy (in order): - make it big 📈 - make it game changing 💡 - make it profitable 💰 - make it exittwitter.com/nvs/status/140…mFoh

Getting back into twitter after I've been out for a while... Love the community here. Thank you all.
Curious to hear what you all look for in a board member or mentor. lmk cause I'm still learning.
My favorite part of being on a company's board is the exposure 👀 It's crazy, uncensored access to so many different ideas. Nothing like getting under the hood to learn.
I'm a natural introvert, so I can empathize with @naomiosaka. The demands on elite athletes are immense and people forget that we're human too. Naomi was proactive. She did all the right stuff and still got penalized. We need a better system that works for everybody. twitter.com/naomiosaka/sta…

A lot of you asked for examples from the portfolio. Good timing! Excited to be announce my investment in @AmpHuman this week because: 🧨 A truly 100x product 📈 Still at the beginning of the growth curve 👩‍🔬 All science, defensible IP 🤝 I can actively add value
Coverage includes this fun fact for Suh trivia night: 🦾 11 years on the field and I've never missed a day on the start line from injury finance.yahoo.com/video/people-m…Tw
Anything I'm missing here? Lmk your thoughts!
4. Can I help? 🤝 Games aren't won by sitting on the sidelines. When I invest, I want to be a high leverage partner, using my network and experience to make an impact. Bring everything, or don't show up.
3. Who's building it? 👷 Team is everything. I hear hundreds of world-changing visions a year, but that doesn't matter without a team that can execute. I'm looking for founders with a track record of excellence, which means knowing their strengths as well as their weaknesses.
2. Is the value right? 💎 When I look at a company, I'm asking: A) What's already been done? B) How much growth is left? You never wanna come in at the pinnacle, the journey should either be just beginning, or about to seriously level up.
1. Is it game changing? ⚡ The world is full of cool stuff to buy. People don't change their routines for small improvements. Whatever I'm investing in, it needs to make their customer's lives 100x better. And ideally, me 100x richer 😉
After investing in 30+ startups over the years, I've gotten pretty good at picking winners. With all the learning along the way, I've developed my own views on what matters most. Here's what I look for when I'm writing checks👇
Very relevant quote today, learning that Michael Burry is betting $530m against Tesla! 😳
"People hate to think about bad things happening, so they always underestimate their likelihood." - Charlie Geller (The Big Short)
want me to write more like this? love your thoughts!
4. Impact + Profit 🌱 Most of my projects are in communities I'm connected with – Portland, Detroit, etc They are focused on giving people a leg up on their way to something bigger. Investing in my locals lets me have a direct positive impact on lives of people I care about.
3. You can touch it 🏡 Building stuff is just cool, that's why I became an engineer. You can't live inside equity. When I'm looking at investments, things you can touch and feel and be proud of are an important aspect of what I'm trying to back.
2. Strong ROI 📈 Investing in real estate can drive equal if not better returns than the stock market. Over a 20 yr period ending in '19, real estate returned 3x stocks. 📈 Vanguard Real Estate ETF = 620% total return 🥴 S&P 500 = 213% total return
1. Locked-In Generational Wealth 🔐 As my partner Joel says: "It's hard for you to spend a building!" Real estate is an asset that's easy to give to the next generation. It's also a good long term hedge against my kids playing fast and loose with the bags 💰😉
I've spent over 10 yrs learning real estate from some of the best investors. 🏡 That's translated into 30+ projects across multiple states. And I'm just getting started. 4 reasons why I plan to make real estate the majority asset class in my portfolio over the next 50 years 👇ZBN
My investment philosophy: 1. It's always about the people. Team first. 🤝 2. I don't invest off the latest trends. Instead, I look at the long term potential value. 📈
