Did the #BA2 wave just came and pass the Houston metro— thanks to high prior infection rates and vaccinations? Cautiously optimistic ⁦@PrathitKulkarni⁩ ⁦@PeterHotez
The wastewater data support my theory, cases are slowly rising.
Why there is no uptick in #covid19 in USA despite high proportion of #BA2 in new infections? I think the wave is a few weeks behind Europe. Interesting article via @nytimes nytimes.com/2022/04/06/bri…

When South Korea, a model country for the pandemic, has >400,000 new cases in a day, leading the world per capita, you take notice. Tests 4X the US with <1/6th the population. BA.2 is 26% as of this week's report. Very high 2-shot vaxx 87%, 3-shot 63%. The pandemic isn't over.

I love the new #principles of #sleepmedicine and the neurophysiology/ neurotransmitter section has expanded but I miss the unifying chapter like the last edition. I feel this format has further distanced clinical practitioners with basic scientists @mhkryger @aasmfoundation

I feel sad to read this ⁦@nytimes⁩ article. US healthcare resources are adequate if not superior. I think this data bed to be teased carefully so that constructive improvements can be made ⁦#omicron #covid19 #healthdisparity

Without consent, Guedel filled a patient's mouth with fluid to show that his cuffed ET tube prevented aspiration (1928). Griffith gave curare with no consent (1942). These ideas were a success, but were there also bad ideas? Beecher's article on consent for research was in 1966.
