I really enjoy weighted dips with a heavy band. I get an insane contraction at the top of the press but it's less impactful on the joints on the way down. The heavy band also prevents momentum so you feel the tension on the muscle the whole time.

I call this exercise the Alternating Side Arnold Press With Bands. You can do it with a dumbbell too. With this variation, you get more range of motion in the shoulder and activate the core more than standard arnold press.
