Jane and I had our second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccines are more accessible in different neighbourhoods and communities. I hope you take advantage of the available opportunities and get vaccinated to protect yourself and others around you. #onpoli
I visited Mom yesterday afternoon for “Coffee and donut at the Mill Pond.” We were at the Mill Pond in Richmond Hill, one of Mom's favourite places for a walk for nearly 70 years! It truly was a very special time together.

My warmest wishes on this day to all Muslims in Don Valley West and across the province who celebrate Eid Al Adha. This significant Islamic celebration and observance marks the end of Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca. I wish you a Happy Eid Al Adha. #happyeidaladha #feastofsacrifice
⏳ ... We're at the end of another week, and our students, parents and education workers still don't have a detailed plan from Doug Ford. #onpoli Our @OntLiberal Education Recovery Plan was released nearly a month ago: bit.ly/ONeducation

My granddaughter, Olivia, and I joined hundreds of marchers this morning in Toronto to reinforce the message that Every Child Matters. Canada Day is a time to reflect and listen as we re-think how to celebrate our beautiful, troubled home.
Students, teachers, support staff and families need that plan today. There is no excuse @Sflecce. Where’s the plan?? twitter.com/ColinDMello/st…
Maybe if @fordnation listens to you there will be a plan to be back together in school in September!
To all the students, teachers and support staff and families who have endured yet another COVID school year: well done! You have done your best in a terrible situation! Take care this summer!
Pride and Remembrance Run 2021. Happy Pride everyone! ⁦@PrideRunTO
Pride Month's celebrations and events like all other activities have been altered this year due the impacts of COVID pandemic. These circumstances should not stop us from acknowledging the achievements and resilience of 2SLGBTQ+ communities. #HappyPride #Pride2021 #priderun
We had another great week of engaging with Ontarians across the province about our detailed @OntLiberal Education Recovery Plan. Ontario families need a government that will focus on the health and well-being of students and staff. #onpoli Our plan 👉bit.ly/ONeducationIq

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend! Thank you to fathers and father figures for the love and support they give and the most special bonds they create with their warmth. Fathers strengthen families and we thank them for all that they do. #HappyFathersDay

We can have a safe re-entry to school in the fall but only if the provincial government has a plan that is funded. #onpoli twitter.com/StevenDelDuca/…

I attended a Unity Walk organized by Thorncliffe and Flemingdon Park communities to commemorate the Afzaal family's passing due to a heinous act of terror and hate in London, Ontario. There was a resounding condemnation of Islamophobia, and all forms of racism, hate and bigotry.
Heading in to vote against ⁦@fordnation⁩’s abuse of power with friend and colleague ⁦@MitzieHunter⁩. No excuse for use of the notwithstanding clause for the first time in Ontario’s history. Irresponsible overreach.
Me too! I missed the picture but I’m here too! Proud to work with this team! twitter.com/JohnFraserOS/s…

My thoughts and prayers are with the Muslim community tonight as I join the vigil (virtually) in memory of Talat Afzaal age 74, Salman Afzaal age 46, Madiha Afzaal age 44, and Yumna Afzaal age 15.
The news of the Muslim family killed in London Ontario today is gutting. There is a mental health support line for Muslim youth @NaseehaHelpline. You can connect with confidential support 7 days a week from 12PM – 12AM EST. 1-866-NASEEHA (627-3342). naseeha.org/contact-us/

I am vacillating between rage and heartbreak. Then I hear my friend @ntahir2015 Nawaz Tahir on CBC radio beseeching us to choose love over hate. So that is what I am trying very hard to do. My heart is with all victims of racism, but most especially the Muslim community in London

Tragic and hateful. There are no words that can ease the pain of this horrific act. Police say killing of Muslim family in London, Ont. was ‘planned, premeditated act motivated by hate’ thestar.com/news/canada/20… via @TorontoStar
And because those conditions are not in place, @fordnation chooses patios over schools. His government created this situation through their neglect and lack of attention to children and the people who teach and care for them.
If schools and kids had been this government’s priority, all education workers would be vaccinated, schools would have the extra staff and resources necessary, tracking and testing would have given us better data. These conditions are not in place.
Schools and kids have never been @fordnation’s first priority. If they had been, schools could open. C’mon, Doug Ford — schools should open before patios thestar.com/opinion/editor… via @TorontoStar

Outside Queen’s Park today. Honouring the 215 little ones who lost their lives just because they were First Nations children who were ripped from their families and forced to attend residential school. How many more perished? This is the face of evil.
