Really, if you are surprised by the travesty of a @belfastcc memorial service that acted as if Bloody Friday barely happened, let alone was an IRA terrorist bloodbath, you have not been paying attention to what is happening on legacy. My column: newsletter.co.uk/news/opinion/c…?

Our recent poll showed a third of NI people want @UKLabour to stand candidates here & 2 in 5 would vote for us. If @Keir_Starmer wants to unite and speak for the country, will he seek a mandate from all corners & give NI people the chance to vote Labour? #Right2Stand @peterkyle twitter.com/bbcmerseyside/…

@Carolyn18168620 @malodoherty A cycle of mutual provocation. Point scoring & demonisation of those in the margins of each community. Trapped in a battle over the past that rewrites, revises or reinvents history. The opportunistic self serving don’t see the need to calm but use the opportunity to provoke.

@malodoherty The hatred that has fuelled our division is disgusting & beyond excusable. This is why communities have to come together now. Recognise the mutual pain of the past, own their own wrongs & build better together. Radicalising our children leads to flags on bonfires & IRA chants.

On this day 50 years ago, the IRA detonated twenty bombs in 80 minutes across Belfast, murdering nine innocent people, injuring hundreds. The primary purpose of terrorism is to terrorise. Insisting such atrocities were 'justified' to this day is morally insane. #BloodyFriday

The IRA gangs involved were the ISIS of their day. Every time someone sings up the Ra, or romanticises their violence, they should reflect on who they really are, & what they actually did. No glory, just cowards murdering & maiming innocent men, women & CHILDREN. twitter.com/SEFFLisnaskea/…

I’m not a Tory (far from it) but if I had a vote it’d go to @KemiBadenoch I’ve met her regarding #Safeguarding issues. She’s direct, compassionate & focused & that is what is needed. twitter.com/notthatbigian/…
Another poll which underlines what most members (and the public) want and deserve - a real choice on the final ballot. That's in the gift of Tory MPs to deliver. National interest or self interest? Fresh energy and ideas or two shades of policy beige? Our country - their choice.

Always remember that #Twitter doesn’t always represent reality. It is a great place to exchange views & share ideas but the health warning is this; when the trolls or anonymous haters attack you need to divide the number by between 10 & 16. Multiple accounts magnify white noise.
