We’re getting quite a few smoke calls to 911 today. It’s likely the smoke you’re seeing/smelling is from the Cameron Peak Fire near Ft. Collins. These pictures- from Loveland- show the smoke the fire is producing. DO call 911 if you SEE flames or a smoke column.
Heading into the #LaborDayWeekend we'll be increasing patrols looking for reckless drivers whose actions risk everyone’s lives. Leading causes of traffic-related deaths in Colorado? Speeding, inattentive driving, no seatbelt & driving under the influence. Be safe #JeffCo
We share this to show you different aspects of our job because we want our community to understand what we do. We never know what each call will bring, especially a traffic stop, but we train and prepare to keep our community safe. We’ll be here if you need us #jeffco 3/3
Today he’s pretty sore, but thankfully will make a full recovery. The driver was booked into our jail on charges of 1st Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Eluding, 3 counts of Criminal Attempt 1st Degree Assault, & 2nd Degree Assault on a Peace Officer among others 2/3
Calls can change rapidly in our job. Last night, we spotted a stolen car at Southwest Plaza & attempted to stop it. Driver suddenly reversed & slammed into our patrol car. Though our deputy took a direct hit, he was medically cleared after being taken to the hospital 1/3
