I would like the name for a unit of measurement that signifies how many times you must return to a piece of writing before it reaches its end state. And then I'd like to know what that number roughly is. (Obviously kind of writing matters, but let's not strangle this.)

If the beginning of wisdom is the definition of terms, defining the media so loosely as to include bloggers, opinion writers, reporters and pundits working for outlets with standards or outlets with few standards seems like the end of wisdom.

One of my favorite things is this button on @msonenote. It allows me to capture a thought that occurs to me while working and then go back to what I was working on. In moments of high-grazing or lots of widget cranking I can forget what I was just working on.
