1/2 Governor David Ige announced that effective November 1, 2021, the State of Hawaii will welcome fully vaccinated residents and visitors who are traveling domestically and between islands.
1/2 Effective September 15, 2021. Maui County’s (Islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai) “Safer Outside” program requires all indoor dining customers to show proof of full vaccination. Those who are unvaccinated must dine outdoors. Children under 12 years old are exempt.

1/2 Effective Sept. 13, 2021. The “Safe Access Oahu” program requires all customers of indoor entertainment, recreation, dining and fitness establishments to show proof of full vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test result taken within the previous 48 hours to enter.

2/3 Travelers may bypass the state’s quarantine requirement with proof of vaccination starting on the 15th day after their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or starting the 15th day after their single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
1/3 Travel Update: Effective July 8, 2021. All travelers entering the state of Hawaii on a domestic flight who have been vaccinated in the U.S. (or its territories) may participate in the vaccination exception program.

2/3 Additionally, travelers entering the state who have been vaccinated in the State of Hawaii may bypass quarantine without a pre-travel test. As the vaccination rates within the United States continue to rise, more travel restrictions will be lifted.

1/2 Effective May 11, 2021. Individuals who have been fully vaccinated in the State of Hawaii may travel within the state without pre-travel testing or quarantine starting the 15th day after the completion of their vaccination. This does NOT apply to trans-pacific travelers.

2/3 Fully vaccinated travelers who are 14 days post final dose do NOT have to take this second COVID-19 test. A hard copy of the CDC vaccination card must be presented for exemption.
1/3 Travel Update: Effective May 4, 2021. Trans-pacific travelers who arrive to Maui with a negative COVID-19 pre-arrival test may also be required to take a second COVID-19 test, which would be administered and paid for by Maui County.
3/3 It is also mandatory for everyone to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth while out in public on all islands.
