@beingnumerous @factfulness Here’s a map to replace the divided worldview. It shows countries by four income levels, today. This map is constantly changing because all countries are changing! 200 years ago almost all were on Level 1. Play it over time here, to see the progress: gapminder.org/tools/#$ui$cha…

For 20+ years we’ve been telling people to stop using the terms “DEVELOPING vs. DEVELOPED countries”, Most ask: ”What should I call the two groups instead?” But you shouldn’t just replace the terms. You should replace your divided worldview! There are not 2 groups of countries! twitter.com/paimadhu/statu…
It was inspiring to hear about the great work happening at @Gapminder—I can see Hans Rosling’s optimism and energy all over it. Thank you, @OlaRosling and @AnnaGapminder.

I’m confronting some major global misconceptions, at 1:30 pm today. Especially the absurd idea that there are two types of countries! Please :🙃Stop saying “developing world “ or “global south”. Such dichotomies is BS. If you must bundle countries, use 4 income groups instead!twitter.com/transitmagasin…k
