Can You Have Hidden Followers On Twitter?

Yes and no. You cannot have hidden followers on Twitter in the way that someone can follow you without you or others knowing. All followers of a public account are visible to anyone who views the followers list of that account. However, there are circumstances where the number of followers and the actual list may not seem to align:

  1. Spam or Suspicious Accounts: Twitter might flag and hide accounts deemed suspicious or spammy without immediately adjusting your follower count.
  1. Locked Accounts: Followers with locked profiles might not appear on your list temporarily.
  2. Suspended or Deactivated Accounts: Such profiles might be removed from your follower count and list.
  3. Truncated Lists: Due to recent changes, Twitter only displays a limited number of the most recent followers when viewing another person's followers.
  4. Technical Glitches: Sometimes, a technical hiccup can cause discrepancies in displayed follower numbers and the actual list.

Remember, if an account is private, its tweets and followers list are hidden, but not from the account owner. The owner can always see their full list of followers.
