CRDTs are a key ingredient for low latency, collaborative apps. However, typical backend apps require more from their database than just commutativity. James Arthur, CEO & Founder of @VaxineIO, will introduce you to the Vaxine system at #CodeBEAM EU. codesync.global/speaker/james-…

The last few weeks have reminded me, once again, of how privileged I am and of all of the things I take for granted. If you use Elixir and you can help financially, consider donating to any humanitarian aid organization if you haven't yet: @UNICEF, @ifrc, @CARE, etc. Your pick.

Block chains won’t bring us the *really* interesting next web. CRDTs will. Much less sexy, since they don’t involve money. Much less momentum and ecosystem around them. Most applications are in toy stages. I’ve been working with them for 2.5y now and couldn’t be more bullish.
