During COVID I found charm in news and sports channels using Zoom, and the lack of quality. A year on from the worst of it, I'm disappointed that the quality is still bad. Weird?

Non-dev thought of the day: I'm watching NBA tonight. Just realized that 7' players are looking at 6'3" guys going "Wow, dude is short." I'm 5'7.5". I may as well be a hobbit. #HalfInchesCount
Thoughts on adults Trick or Treating? 😬😬😬
Blue checkmarks are built on prestige. When you can pay for them ... the prestige is gone.
"If you don't complete my shitty idea in the next week, I won't mandate that you complete my next shitty idea the next week" Who wants to be a part of that? What a fucking idiotic path. Maybe not a genius, @elonmusk ?
If Musk were smart, he'd not go pay-for-checkmark but he'd implement a smart algorithm for rewarding valuable users. Instead, he's gong the shitty brand route of paying for prestige. It won't work.
Take a minute to think about it. If you're smart enough to be a Twitter engineer, are you afraid that you can't find a lucrative job, even in a bad economy? Of course not. Twitter turnover will be huge. Expect a big dip.
Lastly, anyone who is blue-checkmark-worthy is bringing more value to your platform than most others and should be free. You're charging people to be valuable to you. That's a business model that rewards people for paying rather than bringing value. That's idiotic.
Arbitrary deadlines are bad for users and engineers. If I were a Twitter engineer, I'd spend the week updating my resume and interviewing. Maybe call in sick. Then I'd send a tweet to tell @elonmusk to fuck himself. twitter.com/reckless/statu…
Chrome is vanilla these days. @brave is the cherry on top. Make the move.
Non-dev thought of the day: The Prestige was a brilliant, brilliant movie that never gets enough credit.
Weird though -- is a positive side effect of browser password autocompletion that it helps to foil keyloggers?
