Yesterday, Brig Gen A.B.C. (Johnny) Johnson celebrated his 98th birthday at CWHM. The dome was also renamed the Johnson Dome. It was our honour to host the former WW2 P-51 RCAF pilot -who also flew them with 424 Sqn. Thank you to Hannu Halminen for bringing his new Mustang.
Checked out the recently restored P51 Mustang in 424 Squadron “City of Hamilton” visiting @CWHM today with Dad. First visit to the museum since last summer.

P-51 Mustangs were operated by the RCAF at Hamilton (424 Sqn) from 1950 to ‘56. They wore the tiger artwork as a tribute to the @Ticats and the connection to the city. On display this Sunday August 22 from 10 am to 2 pm a restored P-51 in 424 Sqn markings. #ThrowbackThursday
@CWHM It's such a great museum 🙂 Worth the drive every time. If you haven't been there you owe it to yourself to go. It eclipses Fantasy of Flight ✈️
