In 2019, @VinandOmi designs made from nettles collected from Highgrove were displayed. HRH encouraged Vin + Omi to use nettles from his garden after hearing about their sustainable approach to fashion and their research around turning UK plants into usable fibres for clothing.

At @AbdnArtMuseums, The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay unveil the Robert The Bruce Sword to mark the 700th anniversary of the granting of the freedom lands to Aberdeen. Robert the Bruce was one of Scotland’s most famous freedom fighters.
Their Royal Highnesses toured the gallery, meeting with staff and members of the team who delivered the redevelopment. The Duchess chatted to schoolchildren who have been taking part in an art project at @AbdnArtMuseums.
The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay are in the city to officially open the renovated @AbdnArtMuseums, which dates back to 1885. Between 2015 and 2019, Aberdeen Art Gallery underwent a redevelopment supported by Aberdeen City Council and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

At Church House in Westminster, The Prince and The Duchess meet @RoyalAirForce Cadets, Aviators and Tradesman from RAF Halton before joining a reception in the Assembly Hall.
This annual service marks the remarkable victory, and loss of life, by the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain in 1940. It was the first major campaign to be fought entirely in the skies.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall are at Westminster Abbey today to attend a service of Thanksgiving and Rededication to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The Prince has been Patron of the Battle of Britain Fighter Association since 2003.

Yesterday, while visiting the Isle of Skye, The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay toured @Dunvegan_Castle, the ancestral home of the Chiefs of clan MacLeod for 800 years and one of the oldest continuously inhabited castles in Scotland.
Portree is the largest town and capital of the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. At the Harbour, Their Royal Highnesses were treated to a special performance from Gaelic Folk singer Robert Robertson.

The Duke then visited the House of Dun, an historic National Trust of Scotland property in Montrose to open new installations that tell the stories of hundreds of years of rural life in the County of Angus. HRH, Patron of @N_T_S, was given a tour by one of the costumed guides!
HRH toured the farm, including the blueberry polytunnels and packhouse. The business harvests fruit for nine months of the year and is the most northerly commercial blueberry farm in the world. 🫐L

Here’s to many sunny, happy days as all those in Nairn enjoy the new splashpad!
#TeamHamish was founded in May 2017 to create special family spaces, places and facilities within Nairn which could be enjoyed by all ages and abilities for many years to come. The Duchess officially opened the new splashpad today.
Brave Hamish Hey lost his battle with cancer in February 2017, aged 8. The #TeamHamish splashpad in Nairn was built in his memory and to thank the Community for their support throughout his illness.
At Nairn Community Centre, which was built in 2007, HRH meets locals who make up the 52 groups who use the centre, including creative writing groups, a local book club, a poetry group and members of the Nairn Literary Institute.
The Duchess of Rothesay is visiting Nairn in the Scottish Highlands today to attend the Nairn Book & Arts Festival and meet communities in the town.
The Duchess congratulated staff for their “brilliant job” and praised the separate accommodation, which gives residents their own space and increased privacy.
When the charity’s refuge accommodation first opened in June 1997, it was built as a communal facility. Over time, funds were raised to change the facility to individual flats.
Charity @SAWomensAid offers information, support, advocacy and a safe refuge for women, children and young people with experience of domestic abuse. Yesterday, The Duchess met residents and officially opened the renovated centre.

At Dumfries House today, The Duchess joined a Women in Journalism mentoring session with female journalists and heard about some of the issues that they face. HRH spoke to broadcaster @BBCYaldaHakim, who was born in Afghanistan and recently interviewed a Taliban spokesman.
