On 26 April 2022, 7 environmental activists attempted to launch a cycling campaign to commemorate the death of environmental activist Chut Wutty. They were confronted by security forces. They decided to sit in the garden located in front of Watbotum Park & held a photo of Wutty.

Today, 27 CSOs submitted a letter to the Ministry of Justice & the Ministry of Interior to demand justice for Chut Wutty, the activist who was shot dead while monitoring forest crime 10 years ago. The MoJ accepted the letter. The MoI did not & said that it contained mistakes.

Yesterday, CSOs marked the 10th anniversary of the death of Chut Wutty, a prominent environmental activist who was shot dead on 26 April 2012 in Koh Kong while monitoring forest crime. The commemoration aimed to demand justice for him & to remind the public of his legacy.

From 28-30 March, CCHR's 'Promoting & Protecting Freedom of Expression & Independent Media' project held a youth camp w/ 41 participants to raise awareness about the legal framework relating to #FreedomOfExpression, independent #media, access to information, & #LGBTIQ+ rights.
