🏥 Yesterday, Princess Alexandra attended a reception at@RBHCharityy in London. Her Royal Highness spoke to hospital employees and viewed an art installation designed by staff, inspired by their experiences of working in intensive care throughout the pandemic.u
During the visit, The Duke also met 19 year old graphic design student Edward Roberts, winner of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee Emblem Competition. Edward’s design will be used for all official merchandise commemorating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Today in Nottinghamshire, The Duke of Gloucester visited Patchings Art Centre to formally open their newly established Artists’ Trail. Guests will have the opportunity to walk through an outdoor gallery of ‘Our Favourite and well known paintings’.🎨L
This year, The Countess volunteered with St John Ambulance at an NHS vaccination centre in Greater London, joining a team of over 10,000 volunteers.

While in Suffolk, The Duke of Gloucester also opened the @NT_SuttonHoo’s new 17 meter high viewing tower. The tower will give visitors never seen before views of the 18 burial mounds which form the extraordinary Anglo-Saxon royal burial site.

Yesterday The Duke of Gloucester officially opened The Hold, a new archives and heritage centre on Ipswich’s waterfront. HRH was given a tour of the new building which was created in partnership with the @UniofSuffolk and @suffolkcc.

The Princess and The Countess are both supporters of agriculture and the countryside. The Countess is Patron of @ASAOshows and today became Patron of a farming charity, @AddingtonFund. The Princess is President of @THE_RASC, which was founded by The Duke of Edinburgh in 1957.

Yesterday, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester attended the @miners_memorial dedication at the @Nat_Mem_Arb in Staffordshire. The service, which officially opened the new miners memorial, was an occasion to recognise miners’ contributions in the First and Second World Wars.
In their 50 years, the @SCOTS_DG have seen active service across the world, including Poland and the Baltic states in 2019. More recently, The Guards have supported @NHSNSS through the pandemic, particularly with testing and vaccination programmes.

50 years ago in 1971 Her Majesty and His Royal Highness attended the formation of @SCOTS_DG in Holyrood Park, just a stones-throw from the Palace in Edinburgh. The Duke of Kent served as an officer in The Royal Scots Greys between 1955 and 1971.
A Drumhead Service is a Christian Service traditionally held for Army personnel in the field of conflict when there's no access to a church. Today’s service was attended by veterans, the Regimental Association and family and friends of those currently serving.
Today The Duke of Kent attended a Drumhead Service in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse to mark the 50th anniversary of the formation of @SCOTS_DG. The Queen is Colonel-in-Chief and The Duke is Deputy Colonel-in-Chief of the Regiment.
