Ahead of @StopKillingCycl protest today - Tfl/Camden say they are working to speed-up short term plan on the junction where Dr Marta Krawiec died. Background:…
decision complicated by Govt funding. No active travel funding for councils that don’t let schemes bed in … and Ealing has plans for more active travel schemes .. so the council is in a bit of a spot…
Final decision on some Ealing LTNs to be made in September. Email consultation shows residents in 7 do not like them & in 2 residents want them. Council data shows reductions in pollution & traffic in them & no increase on boundary roads. BUT ….
A DfT Spokesperson said:   “No decision has been made on national rail fares. The Government is considering a variety of options and we will announce our decision in due course.”
Correction: July RPI: 3.8% CPI: 2.1% - regulated rail fares usually based on RPI+1 so *could* be rises of 4.8% but Dft at the moment say looking at a range of options.

Watchdog @LonTravelWatch says @RSSB_rail should publish covid risk rate for train travel. Isn’t the point that @RSSB_rail published & heralded the 1 in 11,000 figure but now it’s worse they won’t as they say the passengers won’t understand it ? Can’t have it both ways.
NEW: 98 per cent of schools in London are in areas exceeding World Health Organization pollution limits, compared to 24 per cent outside of London - City Hall.

Funding for Holborn was paused due to the pandemic & Tfl's revenue loss.
In 2014 I was at the inquest of another cyclist who died at the same junction when the Coroner put a prevention of future deaths order on it. She was critical of Camden Council’s “lack of urgency”. It’s now 2021.

Strikes planned for later in the month remain on.
BREAKING: Tube strike is OFF. Two 24hr strikes this week had been due to start tomorrow at midday in a dispute over rotas.
But it's other passengers that are the concern for many. And @RSSB_rail haven't helped confidence not releasing their updated modelling on the chances of catching covid on a train. It was 1 in 11k when levels were low - now chances will be higher.
Testing for Covid on transport in London has been going on for some time - and on some rail operators. Today's testing results from mainline stations is good news & more so the rail industry is trying to show it is safe ...1/2…

NEW: Positive noises from the #tubestrike @acasorguk talks. Strikes next week remains on but looking hopeful.
#Stonehenge Tunnel at @A303Stonehenge - my understanding is the entire Highways England project will now be halted, pending a Government re-think. It’s a substantial victory for campaigners who crowdfunded to bring a judicial review.
