The SG100 Cloud Computer Payload was installed on ISS today. It is a commercial space computer that is based on our main data computers.
Today marks the 6th anniversary of the launch of STS-134 carrying AMS to the ISS.
We installed the terminator yesterday during a space walk. It will help us ensure that our next upgrade mission will suceed
As of today, AMS has measured 100,000,000,000 particles since its arrival to ISS in May 2011.

We reached 79 billion events today. We reached 78 billion on Feb. 24. That is 1B in 17 days. 59M a day, 2.5M an hour, 41k a minute.
Seventy Eight Billion measured events as of this morning.
77 billion measured events. We surpassed every other combined space measurement of charged particles in 2011.
76 billion events. We are hoping for some great publications this year. With 76B events to choose from, surely we can find something ; )
During the holidays, CERN is closed but that doesn't stop the AMS control team. We continue to operate 24/7, we just do it without a cafe!
