Last weekend our staff hosted a 'Party for the Planet' Monarch-friendly Planting Event at Cooper Sprouts Garden! ๐ธ
With over 40 volunteers we were able to build new raised beds, plant native wildflowers and vegetables, install a Free Book Box and so much more! ๏ฟฝp4

These tracks belong to little blue penguin, Phoenix (#17)! ๐ง
Like all other penguins, little blue penguins are flightless, designed to be incredible swimmers instead. Their webbed feet do help them in the water but their flippers allow them to truly "fly" underwater!g

Meet the Pacman frog, also called the ornate horned frog, who is native to South America. This awesome amphibian is an ambush predator meaning they will bury themselves (as seen here) in mud or leaves and wait for food to come by before pouncing! ๐ธd

Dwarf caiman are nocturnal hunters as well as sit-and-wait predators which is why so many people ask us if she is even real! (Spoiler alert: This ravishing reptile is VERY real!) ๐
