Frequently amazes me how "social" media has elicited a flood of anti-social behavior.
It never would have occurred to me in my youth that basic social skills & the ability to interact with people who are very different from me would become a salable skill set.
How's everyone's morning going?
I was initially planning to head up to Santa Fe to check out the market, but I just can't get up the gumption to deal with crowds today. I'll try to sneak in Monday morning as the vendors are setting up...before the people arrive in large numbers.
Highway 53 | Grants to Zuni Pueblo - ow.ly/Kjih50G459T
Got a message a few days ago that this route is full blown sunflower glory at the moment. The entire area in front of El Morro is sunflowers, but you wouldn't know it other than NOW.
Seed2Need donates the fruit & vegetables to local food pantries. In Sept, Roadrunner Food Bank gets involved & fruit overflow is distributed statewide.
If you know anyone who has time to volunteer in Sept. for the gardens or orchards, please email [email protected]#Corrales
Just putting this out there.
We have been blessed with an abundant harvest this year. Last year was abysmal. BUT we don't have enough hands at Seed2Need to pick the gardens twice a week & get all the fruit from the orchards. The apples are ready all over Corrales...like, now.
Found out a week or so ago that a few photos from Zuni will be used in an upcoming Travel & Leisure article. Very cool. Pretty surprising. I'm an amateur with an inexpensive camera...at the right place, at the right time.
To all my fellow amateurs...keep clicking.

I love that I was at the base of the Organ Mountains during the rainbows! 🥰 🌈 Like to witness the appearance and disappearance of both rainbows was an extraordinary momentiuR
