My first attempt at making Ethiopian food for a dozen. The injera bread was a big hit and used flour made from locally grown teff. Thanks to @ted_b46 for that! Cabbage & carrot with tumeric; beef with cardamom, cloves, garlic & ginger; and the best named dish ever - Derek Tibs. Didn't need the rice

Summer blueberry and ginger trifle: Dutch ginger cake splashed with ginger wine, topped with a little Greek yoghurt, fresh blueberries, preserved ginger, blueberry & sour cream ice cream and ginger beer granita.
The Summer Fridge Shaker - ripe apricots muddled with brown sugar, dark rum (rather too classy @ronzacapa ), spritzed with dry ginger and topped with a sprig of Vietnamese mint. A most welcome drink on a hot evening.
