The most significant thing as a result from the tyre change in F1 is if the new tires are different shape - that means aero changes in cars
Alonso was 12km/h quicker in the straight line compared to Red Bulls - he could ease off a bit in the corners to do the same time as them...
Lots been talked about the Pirelli tyres - I think the deg is not the main problem, but the tyre failures - F1 tyre should not fail so often

I visited the Caterham factory last Sunday, they've made big steps forward there and I had a run in their new sim which was also very good
