SECVA McDonald: We will judge the success of all our efforts against a single metric, and that's Veterans’ outcomes.
SECVA: I’ve proposed increases to the min. and max. rates of annual pay for eligible VA physicians and dentists. 1.usa.gov/ZpVTBw

SECVA McDonald: I have traveled to VA facilities across the country—including Phoenix—speaking to Veterans and VA employees.
SECVA: We look forward to receiving the results so that we can take appropriate disciplinary actions when the investigations are complete.
SECVA McDonald: Nationally, there are over 100 ongoing investigations at VA facilities by the IG, the DOJ, the Office of Special Counsel.
SECVA: We have proposed the removal of 3 senior leaders in Phoenix, and we eagerly await the results of the @TheJusticeDept investigations.
SECVA McDonald: We are well underway in remediating many of the remaining 21 because we began work when IG’s Interim Report was issued.
SECVA McDonald: Three of the recommendations have already been remediated.
SECVA McDonald: I am committed to fixing this problem and providing timely, high quality care that Veterans have earned and deserve.
Secretary McDonald: First, let me offer my personal apologies to all Veterans who experienced unacceptable delays in receiving care.
