Great to see India at Cannes - gorgeous actresses, frocks, @SrBachchan's Hindi but finally our films have to speak louder than our fashions!
Thrilled to know that Monsoon Shootout and The Lunchbox got rave reviews! Both are terrific and deserve to travel far - especially in India!

Interviewed Bertolucci. 73, wheelchair bound, excited by 3D and making movies. Says he wants surprise and pleasure in cinema! So inspiring.
It's India Day at #Cannes2013 - have just been informed that Sherlyn Chopra has arrived with Kamasutra 3D. This is going to be interesting!

Western critics hating on #TheGreatGatsby are missing the point. It's a Bollywood film-think Bhansali meets @kjohar25 + $127 million budget!
So the first Bollywood person I see as I drive into Cannes is Poonam Dhillon!

Monsoon Shootout is dense, taut, thrilling. I think Vijay Varma is the next Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nawazuddin is now a genre unto himself.
The Lunchbox is a poignant, quietly heart-breaking film. Such a joy to see @irrfan_k and Nawazuddin together. Congratulations @riteshbatra.

For non-drinking, smoking, gluten-free vegans like me, highs are necessarily cinematic. Like Nawazuddin's acting or @rekha_bhardwaj's voice.
