Inspired by #Quiz and due to having nothing better to do... here are some of my favourite ‘waves’ from hopeful contestants on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Starting with this dainty effort from Brian.

The most expensive race car to date.

With football on hold, I'm beginning to miss my weekly fix of Sunderland letting me down. So what a relief to see this is around the corner...…
Charlie Kaufman’s intro to the Synecdoche New York script book is a lovely reminder that everyone has a life beyond our fleeting interactions. Felt relevant! (Concerned I’m taking myself too seriously? Check out these emojis -🦆🌬💸🤯. Yes da king of random is alive n weeeHZ

I've never had my gob smacked by motorsport as much as at the Ulster Grand Prix. Our world will be less exciting without it.…
I picked the wrong day to work from home.…
Stories today suggest the Ulster GP is under threat. Which is a crying shame, because it's the most exciting motorsport spectating experience I've ever had. And a simply wonderful circuit. Such a friendly bunch when it came to shooting this feature, too.…
So here it is, my new long-termer. Quite different to the Z4... and indeed every car I've run previously. Anything you want to see it do in its six months at TG?…
Six months, 12,000 miles and thus it's nearly time to say ta-ra to my long-term BMW Z4. It feels very grown-up, but it's also a properly quick 6cyl roadster with better mpg than any 4cyl hot hatch I've ever run. Anything you'd like to know before it disappears?
Just realised I’ve mixed up Coleen Rooney with Coleen Nolan so I’ve had an even weirder news day

think someone may have overdone it with the gravy today.

While away in the US recently I saw this advert for the Toyota Supra. Why can't British car ads be this exciting?…
From now on I will only consume drinks that match the car I’ve just driven.
When you meet the younger Carlos Sainz, but still end up talking about rallying. Among other things, at least...…
I look like I’ve just won a ride in a rally car as a raffle prize, but after a 2.5min blast around the Goodwood rally stage with the lightly mad Mads Østberg I couldn’t care less. Current WRC cars are daftly quick.
As a proper fanboy of the current generation of XJ, I find this news sad. But at least @PHMattB can delight in the spec of the final one.…
So much mega stuff at Goodwood but perhaps the newest of all the racecars stopped me in my tracks - last week’s Ring 24hr winner, still covered in scruff and sticky tape. Cool as.
Carbon ceramics, no four-wheel steer, 1,300kg... and yeah, it’s pretty flipping good to drive. Renault Sport’s back. Phew.…
Went to N24, took photos of dogs. Good race, would visit again.

More than a bit in love with how stock some of this stuff looks, though. Buy something old, pop a cage in it, race the ‘Ring at vaguely sane speeds. How hard can it be etc
I also fear my job list for the Williams has just got a lot more expensive/dangerous/downright unwise.
I fear this year’s ‘Ring 24 Hours has already peaked, in the classic paddock.
Last week I saw a Citroen AX Superproduction for the first time, so now I’ve obviously fallen down a YouTube hole. These things look brilliantly terrifying to drive.
Who wants to see some scruffy, battle-scarred racecars?
Le Mans drinking game. Take a drink every time someone mentions Alonso. Good luck. #MaximumAttack #LeMans24

I’ll never get bored of the pomp of a Le Mans start. Yep, that’s a helicopter filming a helicopter.
A spectacular start to Le Mans - a lap of Circuit de la Sarthe. While everyone was still in their tents, admittedly. Quite a first go in the Supra...
And plenty of weirder stuff to enjoy too, including the only remaining H Van that’s not a falafel stall.
So much old fast French filth.
Citroen is celebrating turning 100 by parking lots of rally cars on the streets of Paris. More exciting than a card from the Queen.
No cup holders in a Morgan, which means you have to pull over and drink tea properly. This ought to be a cup and saucer really.
Our latest issue is out now and we’re rather proud of it. It’s a huge testament to the quality and effort of the brilliant team I have the privilege of working with. Have a wonderful weekend.

In a week of solemn, sincere Lauda tributes, a downright joyous one. Love this.…
I’d heard of this picture’s existence but didn’t really believe in it until I just walked into the restaurant. And so prominent, too.
And if you like the cut of Dom Herbertson’s jib (I’m sure you will) then you can hear him each week on the brilliant @motorbikepod.
Just a little glimpse into how this differs from soft, cuddly circuit racing...
Chasing the Irish road racing scene with the help of BMW’s four-wheeled road racer. This one was really special. I hope you like it. Pics by @sdbikephoto…
I’m such a sad car journalist type that the first thing I did on seeing this promoted tweet was open up the picture see if they’d tried squeezing on a normal carriage.…
I just made some very silly noises sitting watching this.…
First impressions are good. The seat lowers almost through the floor and it makes a decent noise. Basics of a good roadster sorted.
New long-termer! Six-cylinder sports cars are a depressingly rare beast these days, so this Z4 M40i has a bit of a USP over the Boxster (at last). Interesting few months ahead...
