In case you didn't already realize, the panic over trans women in sports is just the newest variation of the ongoing *sexist* panic about women in sports, period. This is how cisgender female athletes are treated regularly, which is part of why most support trans inclusion.

It's 2022 and I guess some of y'all need to be reminded that it's not "gay marriage." Marriage as a legal contract does not have a sexual orientation. It's 👉marriage equality👈 because it's about whether ALL people have the same right to marry, or just some people.

Reddit will now enforce their hate speech policy on content that utilizes the groomer libel. Content that equates LGBTQ people to groomers and pedophiles will violate the hate speech policy. Reddit is now more proactive than Twitter. Your move @TwitterSafety.

Finally, be aware of stigma and misinformation. MPV (monkeypox virus) has disproportionately impacted MSMs but there are cases that are not in the LGBTQ community too — MPV can spread in ways similar to MRSA and is in no way limited to any one population. #MPVfacts

Amid concern over vaccine shortages, know that 800,000 more doses are on the way. Immunocompromised folks (HIV+ for example) and people with known contact with MPV (either socially or at a venue) are prioritized for the two-dose vax regimen. #MPVfacts washingtonpost.com/health/2022/07…
See your healthcare provider if you notice a rash or a lesion. If you don’t have a provider or insurance, go to a public health or sexual health clinic. Read up about what to look for and do, and ways to stay safe. #MPVFacts
Monkeypox virus (MPV) can be passed to anyone with close skin-to-skin contact with a person who has it. Check cdc.gov/poxvirus/monke… to see if you're eligible for the MPV vaccine, and stay connected with your local health department to see when & where the vaccine is available.
