Try this out, see how it does. If it doesn't drive conversions, it's going to help at least make your other more direct-response ads more effective. This tactic does well educating a new audience about who/what/why you are.
The last piece here is the audience. Depending on what you're optimizing for: • clicks • view content • add to cart (ATC) • initiate checkout (IC) • purchase You can decide how broad or narrow you want to get. Higher conversion objective = broader audience. & vise versa.
Within the first couple of days, you'll see what's working and what isn't. When I first did this, we would launch 49 or 96 creatives (all possible variations), and find that 4 or 6 would really ramp up.
The next step: experiment pushing that article with some paid media. Your 3 main inputs here: • Headline - catchy, not clickbait • Ad text - describe the punch line of the story • Image - don't overproduce this, you won't get the click.
The bottom line with PPR: If you think the article is a good story and does a good job of making your product the solution or the punch line, test it.
How can you spot a PPR opportunity? Sometimes you'll know right away. You'll have a press piece go up, & almost instantly you see the sales being generated are tied to that article. If you don't notice a bump right away, it could just be a result of being a small publication.
Performance PR (PPR), is the content that: 1. Tells a good story 2. It's not cluttered (no pop-ups, banners, etc) 3. It goes into depth about the product (you understand the benefits) It should get someone interested in trying what you're selling before they get to your site.
One of the biggest mistakes brands make is spending money on PR teams that only get a small amount of eyeballs. Here is how you should approach PR, and how it's led to over $20,000,000 in revenue for me. You're going to learn about Performance PR in less than 3 minutes: 🧵👇
Wow, #2 product of the day on @ProductHunt !!!
If you're seeing this tweet, go drink some water! 💦
And lastly, lastly... I want to thank the mighty team that made this entire vision come to life: @baileecooper @carlyliebs @bdlocks @Steve8708 @mduboe @ssonneborn22 @briansugar The combined effort is going to generate millions of dollars for founders over the next year.
Oh, and before I forget... Another advantage is this page lives inside Shopify. So if you're using server-side tracking, your landing page can now be a part of that, versus it using the pixel on the sub-domain.
Lastly, I’m not allowed to ask you to upvote our launch on Product Hunt, so I’m going to just leave the link here to check out. producthunt.com/posts/ultimate…
To make it easier for founders who are doing their own marketing, or even more robust teams, we outlined every section. All you have to do is install the template, and change the info. You have NO excuse to be driving ads to your unhelpful homepage now!!
We partnered with @builderio because 4 years ago, I wish I had a simple & effective drag & drop tool for @Shopify. It would’ve let me probably go from a 3% conversion rate to ~6%. And for these landing pages, we wanted to make it just as easy to build.
Traditionally companies with smaller teams & leaner budgets don’t get the benefits of larger DTC teams: • in-house developers • video editors on standby • heavy on-site CRO testing So being able to make landing pages accessible to everyone was a no brainer for us.
The easiest way to decrease your CAC/CPA by 30-40% is: use landing pages. • what you’re selling • why? • how it helps them That’s why today I’m excited to launch the Sharma Brands Landing Page template with @builderio 🎉 Anyone can do it in <5 min! producthunt.com/posts/ultimate…z
Early career years are painful. You feel like an idiot 98% of the time - lost, confused and insecure. I wish I had a cheat sheet of principles for my first job. So I put one together. Here are 20 things about building a career I wish I knew sooner:

Founders today need: • a platform, not just capital • a path to their first 1,000 customers • a direct line to vendors they can trust • financing options that don’t just dilute them That’s why we created @MasalaCapital 💎

Don’t sell a product. Educate someone on why it exists, why you created it, and how it’s going to help them. Make it their decision to buy, don’t force it

My presence on the internet, along with my knowledge of being an operator, give me the advantage of seeing a lot of early-stage deal-flow. Before some of your favorite brands launched, I was helping the founders in the early days with value prop testing, messaging testing, etc.
Early-stage founders get direct access to: • Me, personally • @SharmaBrands team (growth) • SB's partners (technology fulfillment, agencies, brands, etc.) Because of that, founders prioritize my check into their company.
Over the last few years putting out content on the internet, I often begin building a relationship with founders in their early stages, whether or not I actually *meet* them. This means when they are ready to raise, I hear about it before traditional VCs do.
My rolling fund is officially live! 🙌 I'm excited to back founders who believe they can change people's lives, make real money, and proudly support underrepresented communities. View/Invest:angel.co/v/back/masala-…X More on@MasalaCapitall... 🧵👇
There’s no “hack” to building brand. It’s just consistently doing the right thing.
The iOS 14 cookiepocalypse is another reason you need to build brand & have a reason to exist. Brands with a proper foundation & an omnichannel strategy have seen almost no effect on their MER (media-efficiency ratio). The brands without a proper foundation are hurting. Badly.
The International @Olympics Committee set up athletes to sleep in cardboard beds. This will negatively impact their sleep, recovery & performance during the most important days of their careers. Here’s my letter to the IOC and our offer from @eightsleep to fix it. RT in support
