Ottawa. It’s not in Toronto, but there’s nowhere lesser known in Toronto.…
Tree shape seems familiar too…
And up top? I guess the thirteen maple leaves are meant to be the provinces and territories. What do you want to bet that one on top is Alberta?
Just as a good rule of thumb, if your décor choices include huge red vertical banners, YOU’RE NOT THE GOOD GUY IN THE STORY.
Red banners. The choice of discerning fascists, proto-fascists, and wannabe cosplay fascists across the galaxy.…
They hide their twisted roots where you can’t see them. The real movement? All. Underground.
Back to that tree symbol. Above the surface? Seems harmless enough, but after a while you notice the rigid symmetry and wonder why it’s so bare… too few identical white leaves taking up way more space than they have any right to claim….
Also apparently lacking in any sense of irony, as evidenced by this exchange from their Facebook page.
“Appreciation and celebration of our unique culture and heritage…” you say? Funny. That tree symbol would make a great tattoo…
The Heteronormative Hero-Saviour Man imagery for this “fraternal organization” (yes Chad, you may tap the kegger, but no Beer Pong while the grownups are talking). It’s that special kind of creepy. The kind that grows more creepy the harder it tries not to be creepy.
Branding tip. If you’re spending a lot of energy telling the press “we are NOT Nazis” maybe don’t hang giant vertical banners in your official brand colour Nuremberg Rally Red.
“No, *you’re* making a mistake officer!! What else am I supposed to do in the HVAC lane!?!”

Pro tip for Ontario friends 18-59 yrs old. Don't wait till 8:00 a.m. for your Ontario 4th dose vaccine appointment! Bookings are open *now* + there's almost no wait for online service + lots of available appointments starting TODAY.
Too many Wencils. Not enough Ewaysers.…
@PringleJosh I have to add that seeing the responses here makes you wonder “what’s in it for me” As a society we could easily contribute to everyone’s well being; more productivity equals benefits for every one, more business, a better economy. Me myself and I are not viable solutions….

Hmm. December 2021. If only we could look back in time to find out from our younger selves what might have caused lower transit ridership that month (apart from the usual winter hibernation and 25% fewer work/school commuting days *every* December).……
Outdoor musical theatre on an urban mainstreet?!?? You can DO that?!?…
