As I’d mentioned earlier, we should not jump to conclusions until the trials are fully concluded. The recent chain of events are a clear example why we should not bias the process and should respect the process till the end. Good news, @UniofOxford. covid19vaccinetrial.co.uk/trial-resumes
We (Serum Institute of India) can't comment on reports of AstraZeneca pausing the trials in the UK, other than that they have been paused for review and shall restart soon. The Indian trials are continuing and we have faced no issues at all. #SII #COVID19 #Latestnews

The origins of the Oxford vaccine with Professor Adrian Hill; standing next to the legendary Edward Jenner statue, here at @UniofOxford. Proud and excited for the next few months and looking forward to the vaccine.
I would kindly request the media to refrain, from reporting on interim data coming in about patients on the SII - Covishield clinical trials. Let us not bias the process. Let us respect the process and stay patient for two months, all the relevant data will be published soon.
A well deserved award, and much needed recognition for the entrepreneurs of @MylabSolutions, who rose to the occasion in this time of crisis. m.economictimes.com/small-biz/star…
We would like to clarify that the current media claim on COVISHIELD's availability in 73 days is misleading. Phase-3 trials are still underway. We will officially confirm it’s availability. Read clarification statement here - bit.ly/34njWFW #SII #COVID19 #LatestNews

My wife @NPoonawalla and I accept your challenge, @GaviSeth and I also invite @kiranshaw, @juniorbachchan, @drharshvardhan and @anandmahindra to join @WHO’s #WearAMask initiative, to raise awareness of the importance of wearing a mask to protect yourself and others from #COVID19.

An interesting read @Forbes, though we enjoy your music very much @kanyewest, your views on #vaccines come across as irresponsible and borderline dangerous, considering the influence you have today and may have in the future; vaccines save lives! @gavi @WHO
This system can perform 400 tests a day with a single person operating it, thus saving us precious manpower and time, allowing us to open up the country more, by testing faster, more efficiently and on a large scale. @MylabSolutions @kiranshaw @CMOMaharashtra @OfficeofUT twitter.com/MylabSolutions…
Thank you @GaviSeth for all your support, and always believing in @SerumInstIndia’s ability to deliver, many more good things to come… twitter.com/GaviSeth/statu…
Thanks to the partnership and support of @UNICEF, @gavi, @gatesfoundation and @BillGates, @SerumInstIndia has been able to reduce the price of Pneumonia #vaccine by 43%, allowing even more access to developing countries. unicef.org/press-releases…

I hope and wish, China finds the wisdom in collaborating with India during this global crisis, in terms of funding technology and commerce, rather than choosing this period to show strength by having skirmishes at the Indian border. #IndiaChinaFaceOff #XiJinping @China_Amb_India
Delighted to conclude the sale of one of our manufacturing facilities in Europe to @Novavax, for $167 million, for the production of the COVID-19 vaccine; this will bring the world a step closer to manufacturing a vaccine for the coronavirus. ir.novavax.com/news-releases/…
I urge the government to scale up testing by allowing, anyone who wants to, without a doctor's certificate as a requirement; we have the quality and quantity to do so. This is the only way, businesses and individuals will have the confidence to come back to work. @narendramodi
To ensure, people go to work, businesses restart & normalcy is restored, we need to test way more than we are currently. 1.5 lakh tests per day isn’t enough when we have the capacity to do five times more with companies like @MylabSolutions & other test kit manufacturers in India
A very thorough conversation with @ShekharGupta; should answer all your queries related to the COVID-19 vaccine and what India's capabilities are. youtu.be/eG2XDpA-Rw8
Developing a vaccine is like riding a rollercoaster; there are plenty of ups and downs. Sometimes we fail, sometimes we succeed, but we must be patient and not jump to conclusions too early. We must wait for all phase 3 trials to be completed. thehindu.com/news/national/…
Congratulations, @narendramodi ji, on achieving a major milestone with the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. I would also suggest including all COVID-19 vaccines under this scheme, so no citizen of India has to ever pay for the vaccination. @PMOIndia @nsitharaman @drharshvardhan
Very pleased with the progress Moderna's vaccine has shown. This only reiterates my point, that this is a global effort and and more than one vaccine is likely to succeed and could be manufactured in India. Great news! cnn.com/2020/05/18/hea…
Thanks to your speedy and timely approvals, @narendramodi ji, India will have a made-in-India vaccine for a made-in-China virus. @PMOIndia @PiyushGoyal @MoHFW_INDIA @drharshvardhan twitter.com/republic/statu…
Why can't we put funds in the hands of people and SMEs directly instead of lending money which may never get lent. There is more money lying with banks, given by RBI, that is not being lent out. Spending is what will revive the economy and not just lending. @nsitharaman @PMOIndia
Our partnership with @ZiplineIndia, hopes to revolutionize healthcare accessibility to the most remote and rural parts of India; be it protection kits or vaccines. This is the need of the hour, especially in times of social distancing. #COVID19 @OfficeofUT Vid Creds - @QuickTake
As i had earlier suggested, $200 Billion would be the right figure, thank you honorable PM @narendramodi ji. I hope this money actually ends up in the hands of the people who need it the most, and does not get lost in complicated schemes. twitter.com/adarpoonawalla…
The vaccines we are developing, are of a broad-spectrum variety, they offer a wide coverage for various mutations. Having said that, if we see some serious mutations coming about, we may have to do a bunch of new clinical studies to determine the efficacy of the current vaccine. twitter.com/shunalishroff/…
I'm pleased to announce our efforts with @MylabSolutions in combating #COVID19 have resulted in a daily production capacity of 2 lakh tests from 20,000. This is will help meet #India's demand and is a great showcase for the #MakeInIndia initiative and reduced foreign dependency. twitter.com/MylabSolutions…
How many of you think, the lockdown should be lifted completely, immediately, without any restrictions?
Whilst the decision to extend the lockdown and prioritise lives over the economy is appreciated, treatments for cancer, cardiovascular ailments, mental health and immunization shouldn't take a backseat, else we might pay a heavy toll in the near future. bit.ly/3fmlhQu
