When To Post On Social Media
If you are like me, you have probably never given too much thought about when to send your tweets out.
For years I have generally tweeted when the moment has arisen, or when I can grab a spare minute at the end of the day.
These days you have to compete for your audience's attention. You need to tweet when it's good for them, not when it's good for you.
Once you send a tweet, it will be gone from most of your followers feeds in just under 30 mins.
That time is getting shorter the more people follow each other, and the more tweets get sent each day.
This infographic from Quick Sprout
gives some tips on when to send your tweets out.
Don't be too rigid though; Mix it up a bit, but keep these times in mind when you need to send your most important stuff out.
Test, test, and test some more. These times will all change based on the makeup of your audience.
- Use your main audience time zones
- Test other times to see if you get better results
- Twitter: 12pm, 5pm, 6pm
- Facebook: 1pm, 3pm
- LinkedIn: 7am, 5pm
- Google+: 9am to 11am
- Pinterest: 8pm to 11pm
- Instagram: 6pm to 8am
