Toured Briggs & Stratton in Wauwatosa (they are bringing 370 jobs back to WI) then held WEDC board meeting.
Unlike IL, WI’s pension is fully funded, bond rating is solid and unemployment rate is below 6%.
We turned a $3.6 billion deficit into a surplus, lowered property taxes, froze UW tuition & helped create more than 100,000 jobs.

WI's rainy day fund is 165 times bigger than when we took office.
After losing 133,000 jobs & 27,000 businesses in Gov. Doyle’s last term, WI gained more than 100,000 jobs & 21,000 businesses.

Since 2010, graduation rates are up, 3rd grade reading scores are up & ACT scores are tied for 2nd best where 1/2 the students take exam.

Property taxes on a typical WI home $2,963 in 2010. In 2014, $2,822. Had WI continued on 2006-2010 pace, they'd be $3,207 in 2014.
